Neymar enters Las Vegas WSOP after Brazil's World Cup exit
Brazil were knocked out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the round of 16, losing 2‑1 to Norway. About a week later the Brazilian forward travelled to the United States and entered the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 six‑max No‑Limit Hold’em event in Las Vegas. The tournament organisers posted a welcome message: “Bem‑vindo ao WSOP 2026, Neymar Jr. O superastro do futebol brasileiro entrou no torneio de US$ 10 mil Six‑Max…” Neymar paid the US$10,000 (≈R$ 51 000) buy‑in and was eliminated on Day 1 after a decisive hand against Vitalijs Korhs, who held a set of sevens. The freeze‑out format meant he could not rebuy chips and left the event without prize money. During his U.S. break he also visited Orlando attractions such as Disney and the Epic Universe theme park. He is scheduled to return to Santos for the next Brazilian league match.
