Neymar Jr.'s son Davi Lucca pledges to prioritize charity over football at São Paulo auction

Fourteen‑year‑old Davi Lucca, the eldest son of football star Neymar Jr., spoke at the 6th edition of the charitable auction organized by the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. The event took place on 3 August at the Suhai Music Hall in the southern zone of São Paulo and gathered Neymar, family members, athletes, artists and television personalities to raise funds for the institute’s social projects.

During the press conference, Davi said he is more interested in supporting the institute’s work in education, sport, culture and health for vulnerable children and families than in following his father’s football career. He expressed happiness about the event, love for his father and a wish to see Neymar play again, but emphasized that he will focus on the charitable legacy of the organization rather than pursuing a professional football path himself.
