NFL and CONADE partner to expand flag football in Mexico

The NFL, in partnership with Mexico’s National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE), has launched an initiative to expand flag football across the country. The program aims to reach 4 million children during the 2026-2027 school cycle by integrating the sport into physical education classes.

As part of this effort, the Miami Dolphins Academy recently conducted a clinic for 50 Mexican coaches at the National School of Sports Coaches (ENADE). These coaches will be trained in the Dolphins’ specific methodology and values to implement the sport in 100 schools nationwide. The alliance focuses on four key pillars: NFL Flag in schools, national events, physical activation, and sustainable sports development.

Arturo Olivé, Director General of the NFL in Mexico, noted the ambitious goal of reaching millions of children within the country's large population. Felipe Formiga, Vice President of International Development for the Miami Dolphins, emphasized that Mexico is a priority market for the franchise due to its massive fan base.
