NFL and Guarulhos launch flag football program in 50 schools
The NFL has partnered with the City of Guarulhos to launch the NFL Flag program in 50 municipal schools. The initiative begins with the training of 100 physical education teachers who will implement flag football classes using professional equipment provided to each participating school.
Students enrolled in the program will be eligible to compete in regional NFL Flag tournaments. Starting next season, these competitions will be reserved for schools and non-profit social sports projects that are part of the official program.
Since its launch in Brazil in 2023, the NFL Flag program has reached over 10,000 young people through free projects. The league has previously expanded its reach through partnerships in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Petrópolis, and Curitiba.
