The NFL schedule features a Monday night matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The Eagles enter the game with a strong recent record against the Bears, having not lost at Soldier Field in nearly 16 years. The Bears face significant challenges at the quarterback position, as Caleb Williams has been ruled out due to injury, and backup Tyson Bagent remains uncertain due to a concussion.

In Major League Baseball, the postseason begins with a series at Yankee Stadium. The Boston Red Sox, following a strong late-season surge, are scheduled to face the New York Yankees. Red Sox pitcher Payton Tolle is expected to start the game after finishing the season with a 9-6 record and a 3.03 ERA.
