NFL Combine Sees Vikings Trade Edge Rusher and Dolphins Waive Rookie

At the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, the Minnesota Vikings completed a trade that sent edge rusher Jonathan Greenard to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for two third‑round draft picks and cap relief. Greenard, who had struggled with recurring injuries, was later placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list because of a recent pectoral issue, though the team expects a quick return.

Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins announced the release of undrafted defensive‑lineman Kahlil Saunders, a former Kentucky standout, as they finalized a roster that also includes recent first‑round pick Clelin Ferrell. Saunders, a 23‑year‑old who recorded 77 career tackles at Kentucky, was waived before training camp began.
