The matchup follows a trend of increasing NFL presence in Germany, with the league hosting games in the country annually since 2022. The 2026 International Series will feature nine games across four continents and seven countries.

Ticket sales for the Munich game followed a tiered process, including an exclusive pre-sale for American Express cardholders and a general sale that began in July. Prices ranged from approximately 84 euros to over 400 euros for premium seating, with a limit of six tickets per customer to prevent bot reselling.
