NFL: Detroit Lions win against Jets ahead of Browns matchup

In recent NFL action, the Detroit Lions secured a 31-24 home victory against the New York Jets. Amon-Ra St. Brown recorded his fifth touchdown of the season on a short pass from quarterback Jared Goff.

In another matchup, the Washington Commanders upset the Seattle Seahawks with a 33-31 win. Despite a strong performance from Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, a late interception allowed Kain Medrano to reach the end zone. The Commanders, playing without Jayden Daniels, relied on Marcus Mariota, who threw three touchdown passes.

Looking ahead to Week 4, the Cleveland Browns are set to face the Detroit Lions in a matchup defined by contrasting strengths. The Browns' highly-rated defense, led by defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, will attempt to neutralize the Lions' productive running duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs.
