NFL fines Tytus Howard and Malik Davis for preseason infractions

The NFL has issued preseason fines to Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Tytus Howard and Dallas Cowboys running back Malik Davis for on-field infractions.

Tytus Howard received a $12,537 fine for unnecessary roughness following a tripping penalty during the first quarter of a preseason Week 1 game. This represents the largest fine announced by the league for the 2026 preseason thus far.

Malik Davis was fined $6,735 for unnecessary roughness involving an illegal use of the helmet during a Week 2 preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. The infraction occurred during a carry in the first quarter.

All fine money collected by the league is donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation and the NFL Foundation, which support former players in need and health and safety initiatives across all levels of football.
