NFL franchise valuations reach $299 billion in 2026

The total valuation of the NFL’s 32 franchises has reached an estimated $299 billion, representing a 31 percent increase over the last year. This marks the largest annual growth since Sportico began tracking these figures in 2020.

Valuations are determined by a combination of team market value—driven by revenue, profitability, and league-wide asset stakes—and team-related business or real estate holdings, such as stadiums and practice facilities. Teams with significant control over their venues, such as the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders, see boosted valuations.

The Dallas Cowboys remain the most valuable franchise, estimated at $15.5 billion, driven by brand strength and stadium assets despite a lack of recent postseason success. Other top-valued teams include the Los Angeles Rams at $12.7 billion, the New York Giants at $12 billion, and the New England Patriots at $10.4 billion.
