NFL player Isaiah Adams charged with multiple firearm offences in Ontario

Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams, 25, has been charged in Ontario, Canada, following a Durham Regional Police investigation. The charges include possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a prohibited device. Police also seized more than three kilograms of suspected fentanyl in Ajax and, after a search warrant at a Pickering home, recovered a loaded firearm with an over‑capacity magazine and a replica Uzi. The firearm was reported stolen from the U.S. state of Georgia. Three other individuals were charged with firearm‑related offences and drug‑trafficking offences. Adams' lawyer denies any knowledge of the weapons and says his client will be exonerated. Adams reported to the Cardinals' training camp; head coach Mike LaFleur said he was doing well but declined further comment. All four suspects appeared in bail hearings, and no guilt has been established in court.
