NFL roster changes: Bills place Tyrell Shavers on PUP list
The Buffalo Bills placed wide receiver Tyrell Shavers on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, sidelining him indefinitely and likely causing him to miss the first four games of the season. Shavers suffered a torn ACL during the first half of the Bills’ 2024 wild‑card win and returned briefly before the injury resurfaced. If he remains on PUP, veteran tight end Trent Sherfield is expected to fill the roster spot.
Across the league, numerous teams made similar moves on Tuesday, including the Chicago Bears placing DB Elijah Hickson on the PUP list, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers adding DB Chase Lucas and DL Haggai Chisom Ndubuisi to the PUP list, and the Green Bay Packers placing several players—T‑Brant Banks, LB Micah Parsons, among others—on the PUP list. Other transactions involved signings, waivers and activations throughout the NFL.
