NFL Week 1 features coaching and quarterback debuts

Robert Saleh’s debut with the Tennessee Titans was marked by defensive struggles against the New York Jets, and Todd Monken’s Browns faced difficulties due to quarterback performance and defensive regression.

Quarterback debuts also defined the opening slate. Kirk Cousins earned a C grade in his first game with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he managed the offense effectively to secure a victory against the Miami Dolphins despite physical limitations. Conversely, Malik Willis received a D grade following his debut with the Dolphins; while he demonstrated arm talent and a rushing touchdown, his performance was hampered by five sacks and an interception in a loss to the Raiders.
