NFL's First Regular-Season Game in Australia Secures Free-to-Air and Streaming Rights
The National Football League will stage its first regular‑season game on Australian soil on 10 September 2026 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, featuring the San Francisco 49ers against the Los Angeles Rams. The Seven Network has obtained exclusive domestic free‑to‑air rights, broadcasting the match and the rest of the 2026 season on Seven and the 7plus Sport streaming platform, with expanded weekly analysis shows.
Netflix will also stream the Melbourne game and additional 2026 NFL fixtures to subscribers in more than 200 countries, deploying a dedicated on‑air team that includes Elle Duncan, Michael Irvin, Nick Foles and others. The partnership expands the league’s global reach and offers multilingual coverage in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
