NFM Group secures major German military helmet contract
NFM Group, through its subsidiary Hexonia, has secured a major contract to supply 1.4 million advanced military helmets to the German Bundeswehr by 2034. A significant portion of this production will take place at the company's facility in Lębork, Poland. The helmets are constructed from lightweight polyethylene and are designed to integrate with communication systems, hearing protection, and night vision technology. The first batch of 120,000 units is expected to be delivered by the end of this year.
Separately, Poland's state-owned defense group PGZ is preparing to enter discussions with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding the potential construction of a rescue vessel. Based on the Polish 'Ratownik' project, the vessel would be capable of underwater operations, diving support, and rescuing crews from damaged ships. PGZ aims to participate in talks during the MSPO trade fair in September to ensure the Polish design can be adapted to meet specific Swedish requirements.
