Nga Kor Ming calls for constructive politics over toxic sentiment

DAP Deputy Chairman Nga Kor Ming has called for the rejection of “toxic politics” based on sentiment and perception, advocating instead for a constructive new political approach focused on nation-building and public interest. Speaking at the DAP Perak Dinner in Ipoh, Kor Ming emphasized that politics should serve as a platform for service and unity across all ethnic groups, including Malays, Chinese, Indians, Iban, Kadazan, and Dusun.

He argued that outdated political methods that prioritize perception over actual work are destructive to Malaysia’s progress. Kor Ming stated that the country should move toward a future where it is respected internationally through inclusive governance rather than being trapped in divisive sentiment.

Additionally, Kor Ming highlighted the economic successes of the Perak state government under the Pakatan Harapan administration. He noted that Perak’s tourism sector has reached record highs, attracting 10 million visitors, surpassing other states such as Terengganu and Kelantan.
