Ngagne Demba Thiam receives first Senegal national team call-up

Senegalese goalkeeper Ngagne Demba Thiam has received his first call-up to the Senegal national team. The 28-year-old, born in Dakar, has built the majority of his professional career in Italy.

Thiam began his professional journey with SPAL in 2017 and gained experience through various loans at clubs including Fano, Viterbese, and Foggia. He saw significant career progression at Juve Stabia, where he helped the club earn promotion to Serie B and reached the playoff semi-finals.

Currently playing for Monza, Thiam signed a contract in July 2025 that runs until June 2028, with an option for an additional year. Standing at 2.02 meters, the goalkeeper is noted for his imposing physical presence and aerial strength.
