Ngai Tu Commune Police warn of fines for residency registration violations
The Ngai Tu Commune Police in Quang Ngai Province have issued a warning regarding residency registration violations to prevent citizens from facing fines. Since the beginning of 2026, authorities have identified 123 cases of improper residency registration for minors.
Of these cases, 100 individuals were fined a total of 75 million VND, while 23 others received official warnings. Under current government decrees, parents, heads of households, or guardians are legally required to complete permanent or temporary residency registration for a minor within a maximum of 60 days from the date the birth is registered.
Authorities emphasized that timely registration ensures child residency information is accurately updated in the national database. Residents are encouraged to proactively complete these procedures within the 60-day window and contact local police for guidance if they encounter difficulties.
