Ángel Asensio urges Spanish chambers to proactively support SMEs

During the 140th anniversary of the Chamber of Pontevedra, Vigo, and Vilagarcía de Arousa, Ángel Asensio, president of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, advocated for a more proactive role for the Spanish chamber system.

Asensio emphasized that chambers must evolve from reactive models to proactive ones, anticipating challenges for businesses—particularly SMEs—before they become critical issues. Key areas for focus over the next five years include artificial intelligence, energy transition, and shifts in global supply chains to support successful internationalization.
