Ángel Ayora rejects LIV Golf offer to focus on PGA Tour

Spanish golfer Ángel Ayora has reaffirmed his decision to reject a multi-million dollar offer from LIV Golf, stating his primary goal is to secure a PGA Tour card and compete for the European Ryder Cup team.

At 22 years old, Ayora is currently competing in the Spanish Open in Madrid. He described his recent season as “bittersweet,” noting that while he has shown progression, he believes he could have achieved better results in major tournaments. To support his mental game, he has been working with mental coach Juan Carlos Ferrero.

Ayora remains focused on the Race to Dubai and upcoming tournaments in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which he views as critical opportunities to earn the points necessary to join the PGA Tour. He also noted that his recent form is stronger than this time last year, fueling his ambition to improve upon his ninth-place finish at last year's Spanish Open.
