Ángel Baena leaves Widzew Łódź for CE Sabadell

Widzew Łódź has confirmed the departure of Spanish winger Ángel Baena. The player's contract was terminated by mutual agreement following his request to return to his home country.

Baena has signed with the Spanish club CE Sabadell, with a contract running until 2028. During his time with Widzew, the 25-year-old made 38 appearances, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Widzew's sporting director, Łukasz Masłowski, noted that the player had been requesting a solution regarding his future for some time, stating that Baena did not feel he could fully commit to the club's current project. The club expressed a desire for players to be fully dedicated to the team's goals.
