Ángel Ballesteros and Sonia Hidalgo clinch Andalusian Snipe Championship in Huelva

The Copa y Campeonato de Andalucía de Snipe took place on 2 August 2026 in the waters off Huelva, Spain. Organized by the Real Club Marítimo de Huelva and the Federación Andaluza de Vela, the regatta attracted 29 crews.

Ángel Ballesteros and Sonia Hidalgo, sailing for the Real Club Náutico de Motril, secured the overall title, defending the regional crown they won the previous season. Their consistent performance across three races and a decisive fourth race gave them a two‑point margin over the nearest rivals.

Raúl Ortiz and Hugo Ortiz of Club Deportivo Náutico Punta Umbría earned the runner‑up spot, winning the final race and finishing ahead of Antonio Coronilla and Fernando Yrayzoz, who placed third. The event concluded with a trophy ceremony at the Real Club Marítimo de Huelva.
