Ángel Correa linked with River Plate move as Tigres await decision

Tigres UANL coach Guido Pizarro confirmed that River Plate has submitted an offer of around $13 million for Argentine forward Ángel Correa. Pizarro said, "Hoy contamos con él, pero tiene una opción real y a nosotros no nos queda más que esperar," emphasizing Correa’s importance to the team. The striker, a 2022 World Cup winner, joined Tigres from Atlético Madrid in July 2025 and has become the club’s offensive engine. Both clubs’ executives are negotiating the possible transfer ahead of the Apertura 2026 season, but Tigres have not reached a decision yet.
