Ángel de la Guarda Pediatric Hospital marks first anniversary in Goya

The “Ángel de la Guarda” Pediatric Hospital in Goya has marked its first anniversary, reporting over 32,000 medical consultations during its first year of operation. The facility provides various specialties, with the highest demand seen in Pediatric Clinic, Psychology, and Speech Therapy, followed by Otorhinolaryngology and Psychopedagogy.

In addition to outpatient services, the hospital recorded 1,236 emergency visits and 833 pediatric hospitalizations. While approximately 70% of patients are children and adolescents from Goya, the hospital also serves residents from surrounding areas including Lavalle, Gobernador Martínez, and Bella Vista.

Hospital Director Valeria Agostina Heine highlighted successful procedures such as scheduled otorhinolaryngology and tonsillectomies. A commemorative event featuring medical training and community activities is scheduled for August 21 at the hospital's zonal auditorium.
