Ángel de los Santos, Veteran Spanish‑Language Entertainment Journalist, Dies

Renowned Spanish‑language entertainment journalist Ángel de los Santos died on Monday, August 3. He was best known for his work on Univision programs such as Despierta América, Escándalo TV, La Tijera and La Tómbola, and for running the YouTube channel El Precio de la Fama.

Univision’s official account posted a tribute, saying, “We receive with great sorrow the news of your passing, dear Ángel de los Santos. You will always live in our hearts. Rest in peace.” Colleagues, including Luz María Doria, praised his professionalism, enthusiasm and warmth. In May, he received the international La Moneda award, becoming the first journalist to do so. The family has not disclosed the cause of death.
