Ángel Di María shows solidarity with robbed Rosario street vendor

A street vendor and his son in Rosario, Argentina, were victims of a violent robbery by a large group of individuals, estimated to be between 30 and 40 people on approximately 10 to 15 motorcycles. The attack occurred near the intersection of Rondeau and Olivé ahead of a local football derby. The perpetrators targeted the vendor's merchandise, which consisted primarily of Rosario Central jerseys, stealing approximately 85 percent of his stock.

In response to the incident, Argentine footballer Ángel Di María and his wife, Jorgelina Cardoso, expressed solidarity with the family. Cardoso personally visited the vendor's stall to deliver an autographed official jersey to the victim's son.

The victim, Nicolás, noted that despite the trauma and economic loss, he received messages of apology and empathy from supporters of the rival team, Newell's Old Boys. He called for an end to football-related violence, stating that fanaticism should not lead to such attacks.
