Ángel Genao seeks authorization to play for Águilas Cibaeñas

Ángel Genao has expressed his desire to join the Águilas Cibaeñas for the Dominican Winter League (LIDOM) season. However, he noted that his participation is contingent upon receiving authorization from his Major League Baseball organization.

Genao is currently focused on his commitment to the Cleveland Guardians as they compete in the American League Championship Series against the Rays. He stated that while he wishes to participate in the LIDOM postseason, his immediate priority is helping Cleveland reach the World Series.

Additionally, Genao commented on the possibility of a labor strike affecting the 2027 MLB season, suggesting such a scenario could provide more preparation time for players before Spring Training.
