Ángel Pérez Espacio exhibition opens in Badajoz

Artist Ángel Pérez Espacio has inaugurated his exhibition, ‘La esencia de la mirada’ (The Essence of the Gaze), at the Sala Vaquero Poblador in Badajoz. The showcase features 51 selected works drawn from a collection of over 500 pieces, marking the artist's return to public exhibitions in his home city after several years.

The exhibition explores the human figure through various mediums, including twenty portrait and nude studies, fifteen large-scale paintings, and sixteen sculptures. This collection highlights different creative facets of Pérez Espacio’s career, ranging from intimate works to monumental pieces. The artist noted that the exhibition aims to demonstrate the technical and thematic differences between his approach to canvas and sculpture.

Born in Paris to an Extremaduran family, Pérez Espacio’s work is characterized by a focus on the psychology of his subjects. The exhibition will remain open until December 5.
