Ángela and Majo Aguilar nominated for CD Records Awards

Ángela Aguilar and Majo Aguilar have both been nominated for Best Artist/Mariachi of the Year at the 2026 CD Records Awards. The nominations highlight the musical legacy of the Aguilar family, as Pepe Aguilar also appears among the nominees.

While the nominations celebrate the artists' contributions to regional Mexican music, Ángela Aguilar's inclusion has sparked debate on social media. Some users have questioned the recognition due to her limited public releases this year. The awards ceremony, which features a voting system combining public input with a professional committee, is scheduled for December 2, 2026, in Guadalajara. Other notable nominees include Christian Nodal, Shakira, and Bad Bunny.
