Ángela Vivanco accused of deleting phone data amid bribery probe

A 449-page report by Carabineros concludes that former Supreme Court Minister Ángela Vivanco deleted information from her mobile device prior to its seizure. The analysis suggests Vivanco transferred data related to her ongoing legal case to another device to create an external backup before erasing the original records. This behavior is described as a repeated pattern during the investigation.

Vivanco is under investigation by the Public Ministry for bribery and money laundering. Prosecutors allege she accepted bribes from the Belarusian consortium Belaz Movitec to rule in its favor during a legal dispute with Codelco. The investigation also notes traces of interactions with other defendants, though specific conversation logs may have been deleted.
