Àngels Aymar launches Catalan book tour in Palafrugell

Author and theatre director Àngels Aymar is launching a Catalan book tour with the presentation of ‘Madri Mothers Mares’ at the Nollegiu bookstore in Palafrugell.

The work is a unique trilingual edition, published in Italian, Catalan, and English, consisting of three monologues centered on three historical women: Caridad del Río, mother of Ramon Mercader; Mileva Marić, mother of the children of Albert Einstein; and Evangelia Dimitriadou, mother of Maria Callas.

Aymar’s work explores the societal walls imposed on these women, touching on themes of mental illness, personal sacrifice, and the impact of a patriarchal society. Following the Palafrugell event, the tour is scheduled to continue through Girona, Barcelona, and Calonge during the autumn and winter, with a planned release in London in May 2027.
