Àngels Barceló discusses new life after leaving Cadena SER
Journalist Àngels Barceló has spoken publicly for the first time since leaving Cadena SER after 21 years. In an interview with Betevé’s program ‘Bàsics’, the 63-year-old discussed her transition away from the high-pressure environment of the ‘Hoy por Hoy’ radio format.
Barceló described her previous professional rhythm as a “grinder,” noting the intense tension, responsibility, and pressure involved. She expressed relief in having the autonomy to decide her own schedule and activities.
Regarding her personal life, Barceló has moved from Madrid to Catalonia, residing in Cabrera de Mar with her husband, Josep Morell. She characterized Madrid as “especially hostile” and noted that she had been aging in a city where she did not wish to grow old. She expressed a preference for Barcelona, describing it as more beautiful and welcoming.
