Àngels Barceló relocates to Catalonia after three decades in Madrid

Renowned Spanish journalist Àngels Barceló has relocated to Catalonia after living in Madrid for thirty years. She has officially registered her residence in Cabrera de Mar, a town in the Maresme region, seeking a more tranquil environment near her family.

This move follows her departure from Cadena SER due to recent professional disagreements. Barceló, whose career in radio and television began in 1997, expressed that her decision to move is linked to a desire for personal peace and reconnection with her roots.

Reflecting on her professional journey, Barceló noted that while she studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Bellaterra, she believes much of her expertise was gained through field experience, including reporting from conflict zones such as Belgrade during the Balkan War. She also revealed that she has one remaining subject to complete to officially finish her journalism degree.
