Nghệ An coastal road speed limit signs face review

Authorities are calling for a review and removal of excessive speed limit signs on the coastal road in Nghệ An province. Despite the road being completed and offering smooth driving conditions, numerous signs restricting speeds to 40–50 km/h remain in place.

Drivers have reported frustration, noting that many 40 km/h signs and construction warnings appear in areas where work has already been finished and no machinery is present. These restrictions cause inconvenience for service drivers and heavy truck operators, as constant deceleration affects fuel consumption and transport efficiency.

In response to these complaints, the Deputy Director of Road Management Area II of the Vietnam Road Administration has requested the Nghệ An Traffic Construction Project Management Board to review and remove unnecessary signage to facilitate smoother traffic flow.
