Nghệ An targets high-income status by 2045 through strategic development

Nghệ An province has announced a strategic development plan aiming to become a high-income, comprehensively developed province by 2045. The plan focuses on transitioning to a self-reliant, innovative, and sustainable development model. Key milestones include establishing foundations for this new model by 2030 and completing the transition by 2035. The province intends to become a regional growth engine for the North Central Coast, specializing in maritime economy, high-tech agriculture, industry, logistics, and tourism, while serving as a trade hub connecting with Laos and the Mekong subregion.

In conjunction with regional development, the province also recognized the impact of social welfare efforts. Between 2023 and 2026, various volunteer groups, businesses, and donors contributed significant resources to support social security. These contributions helped alleviate poverty and provided aid to vulnerable populations, children, and those affected by natural disasters or fires, supporting infrastructure such as schools and residential housing.
