Nghe An border guards launch zero-dong stalls for local residents

The Chau Khe Border Guard Station in Nghe An province has established ‘zero-dong stalls’ to support impoverished residents in border areas. These stalls provide essential items such as rice, instant noodles, clothing, footwear, and daily necessities without any cost or bargaining.

By mobilizing resources from businesses, donors, and the Fatherland Front, the border guards have created a system where those in need can actively select the specific items they require rather than receiving fixed gift sets. Lieutenant Colonel Chu Van Thong, Deputy Political Officer of the Chau Khe Border Guard Station, noted that the initiative aims to connect community resources with local needs, fostering stronger bonds between the military and the civilian population.
