Nghe An Province Tax Authority Publishes List of 397 Inactive Taxpayers

The Nghe An provincial tax office issued Notification No. 4847/TB‑NAN, publicly releasing a list of 397 taxpayers. Of these, 98 individuals are in the process of terminating their tax identification numbers but have not yet fulfilled all tax obligations, while 299 taxpayers are identified as non‑operational at their registered business addresses.

The disclosure follows the Law on Tax Management (effective 10 Dec 2025) and Decree 252/2026 NĐ‑CP (30 Jun 2026). It is part of the "Làm sạch mã số thuế – Tháo gỡ điểm nghẽn trong kinh doanh" (Clean Tax Code – Remove Business Obstacles) campaign authorized by Decision 595/QĐ‑CT (8 May 2026) and Circular 18/CD‑CT (13 Jul 2026). On 3 Jul 2026, the Ministry of Finance sent Letter 9409/BTC‑CT urging provincial and local authorities, including police, to cooperate with tax offices in implementing the campaign.

The published lists were sent to relevant agencies, organisations, and individuals to improve tax management transparency and support a more reliable investment environment.
