Nghe An supports students during new school year start

In Nghe An province, local authorities and volunteer groups provided significant support to students and residents in remote areas during the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

In Chau Khe commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, in collaboration with the Nghe An Press Club, organized the ‘Border Sentiment’ program. The initiative provided a charity house valued at 90 million VND, 20 scholarships, and 10 bicycles to disadvantaged students and families. A ‘0-dong stall’ was also established, offering essential goods such as clothing, rice, and food items to local residents.

In Yen Hoa commune, local police and authorities used boats to transport approximately 150 students and teachers across a river to attend their opening ceremony. This measure was necessary after heavy rains and flooding in late August washed away a temporary bridge, isolating several villages. To ensure safety due to ongoing transport difficulties, local officials plan to implement boarding school arrangements for students during the week.
