NGICE 2026 to mobilize Nigerian diaspora for Tinubu re-election

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE 2026) has announced that the upcoming event in Berlin will serve as a mobilization campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

Sir Mike Okiro, Chairman of the LOC and retired Inspector-General of Police, stated that the expo aims to engage the Nigerian diaspora in Germany to participate in discussions regarding the nation’s political, economic, and cultural development. Okiro emphasized the importance of leveraging the large Nigerian population in Germany to strengthen national development.

The Federal Government has shown support for the event, with Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, agreeing to lead the official delegation. The expo is intended to facilitate economic cooperation between Nigerian and German investors.
