Nguyen Cong Phuong's family home in Nghệ An, Vietnam
Vietnamese footballer Nguyen Cong Phuong was born and raised in My Son, Do Luong (now Bach Ha) district of Nghệ An. His family lived for years in a deteriorating thatched house that leaked during the rainy season, forcing them to seek shelter with neighbours.
In 2014, when the family's finances improved, his parents rebuilt a new house on the same site at a cost of about 400 million VND. His father worked as a builder and his mother helped to keep expenses low, while the Hoang Anh Gia Lai club contributed part of the funding. The house follows a traditional four‑room design with a tiled roof, wide front porch, stone steps, and a spacious yard that includes a vegetable garden. Inside, natural‑wood furniture, a display cabinet for trophies and medals, and family photos create a warm, modest atmosphere.
Cong Phuong, now playing for Trường Tươi Đồng Nai, regularly returns to the home for holidays, where fans often gather to greet him and take photos.
