Nguyen Dang Phuc named top scorer in Ho Chi Minh City Grade‑10 entrance exam 2026

Nguyen Dang Phuc, a 9th‑grade student at Ruby School (Truong Tiểu học và THCS Hong Ngoc) in Ho Chi Minh City, achieved the highest score in the 2026 citywide grade‑10 entrance examination. He earned a total of 28.75 points out of 30, including perfect 10‑point marks in Mathematics and English and 8.75 in Vietnamese, ahead of more than 151,000 candidates.

His outstanding results secured admission to specialized mathematics classes at two elite high schools, Tran Dai Nghia and the Năng Khiếu High School affiliated with the University of Ho Chi Minh City. Phuc also holds an IELTS 6.5 score and has collected multiple city‑level competition awards in mathematics and computer‑based contests.
