Nguyen Dinh Vuong begins university studies after overcoming rare skin condition

Nguyen Dinh Vuong, a 24-year-old man known as the ‘snake boy’ due to a rare, unidentified skin condition, has enrolled as a freshman at Duy Tan University in Da Nang. The condition, which he shares with his father, causes skin to thicken, crack, and peel, often leading to bleeding and physical contractions in the limbs.

Due to the severity of his condition, Vuong did not begin primary school until the age of 12. Despite facing social isolation and significant physical challenges, he has pursued his dream of becoming an artist and has successfully gained admission to study graphic design.
