Nguyen Do Truc Phuong contests records in VN10 drug trial

During the first-instance trial at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court for the VN10 drug case, defendant Nguyen Do Truc Phuong, known on social media as ‘the charity fairy’, requested corrections to her judicial records.

Phuong, 32, contested the indictment's claim that she was married or living with a man named V. H. A. as a couple. She is being prosecuted for ‘organizing the illegal use of drugs.’

The case stems from an investigation into the discovery of over 11kg of narcotics in the luggage of four flight attendants. According to the indictment, in March 2024, Phuong and V. H. A. hosted a gathering in Thu Duc City where various drugs, including Ketamine and Methamphetamine, were prepared and used. Authorities discovered 10 individuals using drugs at the residence during a raid.
