Nguyen Khuyen High School B features century-old European architecture

Nguyen Khuyen High School B in Ninh Binh features a century-old architectural complex with distinct European influences. The centerpiece is a three-story building constructed during the French colonial era, originally established in 1924 as the Saint Thomas d'Aquin School to train Catholic teachers. Although that institution ceased operations in 1941, the site was repurposed in September 1976 to form the current high school.

The building is designed in a Gothic style, characterized by high ceilings and large windows that facilitate natural light and ventilation. School leadership has maintained the original structure, performing only necessary repairs and renovations to ensure safety and aesthetic preservation.

Beyond its historical architecture, the school has demonstrated academic success. Recent achievements include a silver medal at the 11th ASEAN Science Project Competition in Thailand and multiple awards in English language Olympiads and provincial academic excellence competitions.
