Nguyen Thi Huyen earns PhD in Journalism

Nguyen Thi Huyen, formerly known as Miss Vietnam, has successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Journalism at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. Her research focused on the topic: ‘Needs and conditions for receiving journalistic information of Vietnamese university students today’.

Since 2012, Huyen has been a researcher and lecturer at the Academy. Associate Professor Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, who supervised the thesis, noted that Huyen demonstrated significant determination and independent thinking throughout the three-year process. Giang highlighted Huyen's ability to engage in scientific debate and her resilience in restarting her doctoral journey after a previous unsuccessful attempt.
