Nguyen Tien Thanh resigns as head of Vietnam Education Publishing House

Nguyen Tien Thanh has stepped down from his roles as Chairman of the Board of Members and General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House. The decision was signed by Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, effective October 5, 2024.

Mr. Thanh is transferring to the Van Nghe Newspaper, which operates under the Vietnam Writers Association. He stated that the move is based on personal wishes, noting that his tenure at the publishing house felt like “pressure” and expressing a desire to return to the fields of journalism and literature.

Mr. Thanh had previously been appointed to his leadership positions at the publishing house in May 2024, following his role as Editor-in-Chief of the Life and Law Magazine. He is required to hand over all relevant documents, finances, assets, and pending tasks to the publishing house in accordance with legal and internal regulations.
