Nguyễn Đình Bắc wins MVP and Golden Boot at ASEAN Cup 2026

Nguyễn Đình Bắc has emerged as a standout performer for the Vietnam national football team, playing a pivotal role in their successful defense of the ASEAN Cup 2026 title.

At 22 years old, the Công an Hà Nội striker earned both the Most Valuable Player award and shared the Golden Boot title after scoring five goals and providing three assists throughout the tournament. His performance included a hat-trick against Timor Leste and a crucial assist during the victory against Thailand at Rajamangala Stadium.

This achievement follows a period of rapid professional growth for Đình Bắc. Since 2025, he has secured titles with the U23 and U22 Vietnam squads, including the Southeast Asian U23 Championship and a gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games. His individual accolades also include being named Vietnam's Silver Ball winner and Best Young Male Player in 2025.
