Nguyễn Quang Hải signs major contract extension with Công An Hà Nội FC

Nguyễn Quang Hải, a prominent midfielder for Công An Hà Nội FC and the Vietnam national team, has secured a significant contract extension. Following his return to Vietnam from France in 2023, he initially signed a 1.5-year deal with a signing bonus of over 5 billion VND per year.

On July 18, 2024, the club extended his contract for an additional three years. Reports indicate the new signing bonus has increased to approximately 9 billion VND per year, totaling 27 billion VND for the three-year term. While the club has not officially disclosed his exact salary, unofficial reports suggest he earns at least 100 million VND per month.

This contract represents a substantial increase compared to previous benchmarks in Vietnamese football. For comparison, former striker Lê Công Vinh previously held a notable contract valued at approximately 14 billion VND for three years.
