NH Nonghyup Bank has implemented several social responsibility initiatives aimed at supporting economic recovery and social reintegration.
Through its bad debt preservation fund, the bank canceled 6,857 long-term overdue claims totaling 16.4 billion won. This measure provides 5,430 farmers and fishery workers with the opportunity to recover their credit and economic standing. To date, the fund has canceled a total of 674.7 billion won in claims, assisting 80,404 individuals in the agricultural and fishery sectors.
Additionally, NH Nonghyup Bank signed a business agreement with the Korea Rehabilitation Agency to support the stable social reintegration of individuals under legal protection. The bank donated 200 million won in funds and goods to support rehabilitation projects, including livelihood and employment assistance. This partnership aims to strengthen social safety nets and prevent recidivism by addressing the economic difficulties that often lead to reoffending.
