NH NongHyup Bank launches electronic Braille service for internet banking

NH NongHyup Bank announced the introduction of an electronic Braille service on its personal internet banking platform. The feature converts the text of 34 core menu items, transaction history, certificate issuance and all financial‑product information into Braille files that can be read on Braille terminals or printers. It is the first Korean bank to extend Braille accessibility to product‑information and enrollment screens, covering 22 types of deposit and loan products and 435 customer documents across six product groups.

The rollout is part of the bank’s broader inclusive‑finance push, which also includes services such as a hidden‑asset‑search tool and free voice‑phishing compensation insurance. In the first half of 2023 the bank supplied about 1.9 trillion won of inclusive‑finance products, and it plans to strengthen its response to upcoming industry evaluation frameworks.
